Every month we choose an eclectic mix of materials from our shop for you to create with. What you create is up to you and maybe it is a surprise to you too!

$10 per person for 30 minutes
(during ArtWalk hours, 2nd Saturday 6-8 pm, price and time is reduced to $5 and 15 minutes.)

This activity is for anyone able to use scissors and hot glue unsupervised or with a parent assisting.

Series of 5 Journaling classes combing Collage and Writing

Plan
Each session will be 1 hour 15 minutes. Classes are limited to 10 participants
January 19th: 1:00 pm
Introductions
Examples of topics to pick for the first page and the option to choose an event outside of one's life
Opening page collage time onsite
Writing assignment for following week related to collage made onsite
January 26th: 1:00 pm
Option to share writing from the previous week and offer feedback
Focus on an event that can be depicted with a representational collage
Writing assignment for a narrative explanation of representational collage
February 2nd: 1:00 pm
Option to share writing from previous week and offer feedback
Focus on representational/abstract collages
No writing assignment
February 9th:1:00 pm
Introduction to erasure poetry
Create erasure to go along with abstract collage onsite
Collage assignment based on single art elements such as color, texture, line, etc.
February 16th: 1:00 pm
Create final collage onsite
Write the final page about feelings at the end of the project
Share final thoughts
Materials
Journals and materials will be provided however, we do not mind if you bring special collage supplies/materials you want to use.
