Our Mission: Deuxième Vie Creative is dedicated to environmentally conscious behavior by providing affordable materials and inspiring creative reuse while encouraging the arts and cultural life in our community.
Deuxième Vie Creative was founded in Lafayette, LA in 2018. It started as a storefront for providing the community with projects and materials. Over time, it has morphed into a creative hub for all ages to explore new art mediums and to de-clutter or re-cluttered collections of art supplies.
We were granted the 501(c)3 status for an art and environmental nonprofit in 2018. Since then, we have seen many different and expansive types of materials including clothing, jewelry, and vintage items.
In 2020, the storefront was forced to close its doors due to the pandemic, causing us to pivot to selling pre-packaged, at-home DIY craft kits which included recycled art materials and video links. We never stopped growing and evolving with the needs of our community.
Local artists started selling/displaying artwork in-store, and local talents now host various workshops. We are now glad to announce the opening of our CoCreate Studio spaces and our very own Dark Room. We are so grateful for our home of Lafayette and the many ways we provide resources and education for helping our planet and art community.
